There is a large scale utility project here in san diego that is being thwarted by politics.
We have one of the windiest areas in the country close enough to provide wind energy for San Diego.
the NIMBY’s ( not in my back yard ) oppose the project because they do not want more power lines which will be needed to tie the electricity into the grid
California uses the same amount of power today as it did in 1972 in spite of more than double the population.
We can do better with conservation which is the cheapest form available. Implementing strategies whereby we simply use less
